Join us to celebrate the first season of the Next Generation Youth Chorus. Students from throughout Penobscot county have come together to create fun music including Disney Dazzle (a Disney Movie Medley), Someone Like You (Adele) and Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight! Admission is free and the concert is sure to be a lot of fun!
For students interested in joining our Theater Summer Camp, auditions are on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Students should come prepared with a musical number to sing in front of our staff and student directors for part placement. All students are guaranteed a part and will receive instruction in stage presence, singing technique & posture, set & prop design, costuming and much more! We welcome students from ages 4 – 19, including students who would prefer to work on the technical aspects of the show!

Congratulations to the Next Generation Dancers for excellent performances today at their Spring Dance Recital! Each style and group of dancers took the stage by storm and should be commended for their display of talent and skill! We would also like to thank the instructors for a job well done.
Celebrate the Between Friends Art Center & the Next Generation Theatre’s five year anniversary at the William S. Cohen School Auditorium on June 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM & 4:00 PM where the dance students will show their stuff! The instructors and students have worked very hard and the show is sure to be an excellent one!

The story centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope both with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters—each one’s choice of husband moves further away from the customs of his faith—and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.”
